Sugar production reached 2.83 million tons in the second half of September 2024. Since the beginning of the 2024/2025 harvest up to October 1st , accumulated sugar production reached 33.15 million tons while in the same period at 2023/2024 harvest season it was reported 32.65 million tons.
The volume of ethanol produced reached 2.24 billion liters in the second half of September. The accumulated production of ethanol reached 25.2 billion liters, with 9.1 billion liters of anhydrous ethanol and 16.11 billion liters of hydrous ethanol. Of the total fuel produced, 329.84 billion liters of biofuel were produced from corn.
