Sugarcane harvest for the second half of December 2020

Sugar production reached 11 thousand tons in the second half of December. This result is 13.68% lower than the 13 thousand tons reported over the same period last year. Since the beginning of the 2020/2021 harvest up to January 1, accumulated sugar production reached 38.2 million tons, 44.22% higher over the same period of 2019/2020 cycle.

The volume of ethanol produced reached 146 million liters in the second half of December, with 40 million liters of anhydrous ethanol and 106 million liters of hydrous ethanol. The accumulated production of ethanol reached 29.296 billion liters. Of the total fuel produced, 1.35 billion liters of biofuel were produced from corn.
