Sugar production reached 2,1 thousand tons in the second half of June 2021. Since the beginning of the 2020/2021 harvest up to June 16th, accumulated sugar production reached 9,3 million tons. This result is 11.9% lower than the 10,6 million tons reported over the same period last year.
The volume of ethanol produced reached 1,6 million liters in the second half of June. The accumulated production of ethanol reached 7,5 billion liters, with 2,5 billion liters of anhydrous ethanol and 4,9 billion liters of hydrous ethanol. Of the total fuel produced, 119 million liters of biofuel were produced from corn.
