Sugarcane harvest for the first half of February 2021

Sugar production reached 21 thousand tons in the first half of February. This result is 751% higher than the 3 thousand tons reported over the same period last year. Since the beginning of the 2020/2021 harvest up to February 16, accumulated sugar production reached 38.21 million tons, 44.25% above the quantity on the same date during the 2019/2020 cycle.

The volume of ethanol produced reached 134 million liters in the first half of February, with 44 million liters of anhydrous ethanol and 90 million liters of hydrous ethanol. The accumulated production of ethanol reached 29.67 billion liters, with 9.71 billion liters of anhydrous ethanol and 19.97 billion liters of hydrous ethanol. Of the total fuel produced, 2.2 billion liters of biofuel were produced from corn.
