Sugar production reached 2.44 million tons in the first half of October 2024. Since the beginning of the 2024/2025 harvest up to October 16th, accumulated sugar production reached 35.59 million tons while in the same period at 2023/2024 harvest season it was reported 34.91 million tons. The volume of ethanol produced reached 2.01 billion liters in the first half of October. The accumulated production of ethanol reached 27.21 billion liters, with 9.81 billion liters of anhydrous ethanol and 17.39 billion liters of hydrous ethanol. Of the total fuel produced in the first half of October 2024, 327.43 million liters of biofuel were produced from corn.
