Ethanol and sugar production
Sugar production increased 55.6% in the first 15 days of July, as a result of a higher milling level, better sugarcane quality, and a sugary mix, achieving 3.02 million tonnes sugar produced this year.
In the first half of the month, 47. 94% of the sugarcane harvested was destined to sugar production. In the same period of 2019, this amount corresponded to 35.99%.
The ethanol volume produced registered a 2.31% drop, totaling 2.12 billion liters in the first half of July – 673.48 million liters corresponding to anhydrous ethanol and 1.45 billion liters to hydrous ethanol.
Since the beginning of the 2020/21 harvest until July 16th, sugar production achieved 16.31 million tonnes, over 10.88 million tonnes in the same period in 2019. On the other hand, ethanol accumulated production achieved 12.12 billion liters, with 8.63 billion liters of hydrous ethanol and 3.49 billion liters of anhydrous ethanol.
